Dog Licenses
|
The Auditor's office loves dogs! We also license them. For your pet's safety and
your own peace of mind—-in addition, of course, to complying with the law—we encourage
all San Juan County residents to license their dogs.
Here's how and where to do so.

Requirements
All dogs in San Juan County and the Town of Friday Harbor are required to be licensed
yearly. The license application must include the gender, breed, name and owner of
the dog. Please notify the Auditor's office if you no longer have a dog, so the
dog license records can be updated before the annual renewal date. The licensing
period is from January 1 to December 31 of each year, with no proration.
Cats are not required to be licensed.
