Shaw Island
Shaw Park booked Sept. 26 & 27

Shaw County Park is fully reserved for the two nights of Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27, 2014. In the event that any campsites are canceled for that weekend, those changes will be reflected on the Campsite Availability, https://sanjuanco.com/CAMP/Parkreservations/Availability.aspx?park=2.

The park will keep the Care-to-Share and Cascadia Marine Trail (CMT) campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Please realize that these two camp areas are shared space, i.e. there may be other campers sharing that space with you. The CMT site is available ONLY for people who arrive by human-powered vessel, i.e. kayak or canoe.

We appreciate your understanding, and hope you'll be able to stay with us another time!

Members of a local order of nuns operated the ferry landing at Shaw Island every day for over 27 years, rain or shine. They've now moved on, and new faces greet ferry travelers.

Aside from narrow, empty roads and Arcadian beauty, a small grocery store at the landing, and one park & campground at sandy Shaw County Park, Shaw Island has no commercial amenities. Shaw has an area of 7.7 square miles. Population is 165.
